Czar: This fight will be the greatest fight of the century. either one will be knockout before the seventh round. the great guy that will land the canvass is the older guy coz superpower comes from younger ones not from the old ones.

Kimo Morrison:

Tell that to Bernard Hopkins czarina, it has nothing to do with the age, and as many an expert will tell you? The last thing to go in a boxer is his power. This just happens to be a test of wills and conditioning. Both are equal in will power in my opinion, but Pac has always showed to be in much better condition especially when in an all out war.

megget: Pac is very vulnerable, but ur right, he does have the great equalizer - a left hook that can flatten a cow. but terrible also has power and great boxing skills so I guess .. Any one can win. will be great to watch though as this will be a surefire carnage

Kimo Morrison:

Carnage it will be my friend, but it is not Pac's left hook I would see being the problem as much as it is his strait left hand following his jab.

Mel A: I would like just to add my point of view with regards to EM power. It seems to me EM doesn't have power to knock down an opponent .Kindly look at his last five fights! No opponent of EM has laid down on the canvass.

Kimo Morrison:

Well there is a difference between knock down and knock out and I would imagine that you mean? Out? In which case that would be true, but if you mean? Down? Then you are wrong, take another look at the Chavez fight?

mark: I've been a boxing fan all my life I order most ppv. Events. Does many know the opportunity he has being that Hispanics are the biggest supporters of boxing in the United States also the biggest spenders on ppv. I felt he didn't train as hard for his last 2 fights he admitted to be distracted before the Marquez fight and getting winded in his last fight. If he beats Morales his next 4 to 5 fights will be for big money because their a lot of great fighters at his weight

Kimo Morrison:

I order most of the PPV as well Mark, but have become in recent history a little more pick and choose, especially when coming to a DKP as he has been putting out some snoozers. Ha-ha … The Mexican audience is HUGE to the boxing public and if Pac doesn't know this already then he will soon find out. I think that Pac because of his new found fame (and I mean FAME in the P.I.) finds it hard to focus and rightly so. You must understand that this man went from being just another wanna be kick boxer turned boxer to the most recognizable man in his entire country and the most famous Pilipino EVER! That is something that would be hard for anybody to not be distracted by.

glenn: Pacquiao will win against Erik Morales you see the past performance of Pacman on MAB and JMM I can see how his future after this fight! This is the fight cant forgot by Erik. Thanks

Kimo Morrison:

Glenn, it will not be forgotten by either man for years to come I am sure of that.

venmarie Dimaunahan: We all know that manny will win within 6 rounds, but EM is a great fighter that what makes him dangerous as dangerous manny, even if manny will lose this fight, there nothing to lose coz he's still bankable! Do you agree? If EM lose thats the end of his career coz he has nothing to prove anymore! It would be MAB and MP the next time! Am I Right?

Kimo Morrison:

You are right that it is a win, win situation for Manny no matter win or lose. Erik, I think even if he loses could still go on fighting IF HE FEELS it still in him. He is a young man, even though a long career could easily take a year off, rest, and come back big. He is fighting the best in the world, every time he fights! So if he loses a couple here and there, why is that so bad? If he were to win everyone, then you would say he is king and he can fight for years to come but they are the same battles? He has dropped ONLY 2 fights his whole career Venmarie!!! Too the same man! Maybe this man just has his number?

He has proven to be a winner over EVERY other man that he stepped in with PERIOD! Why then if he loses to just one more man, and it COULD go either way? Should he call it quits? If he does lose though, MAB v PAC will be next IMO.

romyboy: I am afraid if the fight goes the full 12 rounds and MP is ahead in people's scorecards, the judges will award a draw just like the MP/JMM fight.....

Kimo Morrison:

Do not be afraid, if it happens that way, and it is the war we all expect, then surely both men will want a rematch.

Jed Calomarde: I am a great of fan of Manny Pacquiao and I've seen him use his hand speed against Barrera and Marquez. What could be Morales' strategy to keep away from the fast hand speed of Pacquiao? Can Morales keep out of harms way aside from moving around?

Kimo Morrison:

Yes he can, and I have said it numerous times but for you Jed, I will again. If he smothers Pac, and I mean SMOTHERS him to no end, (read some of past mail bags for in depth explanation) He can stay out of trouble and win the fight.

clement asencio: the recent negative write-up about manny re his new manager and asst trainer buboy's reported demotion as just a mere helper were not only unfair but absurd! I know manny and buboy very well and been talking w/ them by phone almost everyday, the false news were in effect distracted their preparation. I hope the writer of that nasty news would refrain from making up stories that would hinder the preparation of our hero as he said that this is his greatest fight ever and offering this to god and the filipinos.MABUHAY KA MANNY! MABUHAY KA BUBOY! We from gensan are really proud of the two of you, see you in las vegas on mar 19.

Kimo Morrison:

I am sure that Pac has heard negative publication before and if it only takes one article to distract him so then he needs to get off the world stage. This is no distraction for him I am sure, and he has to be well aware of the controversy of the situation in which he has placed himself just weeks before such a huge Mega-fight.

Al: hi. After the MP JMM fight, I am convinced that the best way to win against MP is by going for a points win. While this is gem of wisdom, it is something that I believe will be lost to or forgotten by EM in the first few seconds of the fight. Certain fighters, specially those who have made a living or become famous for battering their opponents like EM and MAB revert to their elemental style once they meet an opponent like MP willing to mix it up. That is why JMM is a "tougher" match for MP than either MAB or EM. Do you agree and do you think, once MP comes in with his high energy/intensity, EM has the discipline to decline a hearts and guts fight and instead conduct a boxing clinic? Thanks?

Kimo Morrison:

Well put Al and frankly I don't believe that Erik can get out of this fight without going toe to toe as Manny is sure to hit him good and once the temper of ?El Terrible? Is fired up, there is no stopping a give and take war. He can only avoid this by using his size as I say once again not to stay outside and box but to smother Pac in a non-stop punch and grab type fight.

Kenshin Himura: I am believe thus Pacman has a win in this. What is the chance of El Terrible of won? 40% against 60% to Pacman. Is you right? Tell me Kimo Morrison san? Thanks and more powers!

Kimo Morrison:

I think that this is more a 50/50 fight depending on the game plan EM brings to the fight and whether or not he can stick to this, avoiding trading shots with a seemingly more proficient knock out artist. EM has what it takes to win this fight, but will he use what it takes or be drawn into the fight in which Manny is favored to win, that of a slugfest.

Confucious: I JUST WONDER WHY THOSE GUYS FROM EA SPORTS, THE DEVELOPER OF THE FIGHT NIGHT2005 GAME DEPICTS MANNY AS A COMBO DUMMY IN THEIR PRE-RELEASED VIDEO TO THE PUBLIC. MANNY ALWAYS GETS THE BEATING. I THINK THOSE GUYS ARE BEING BIAS.

Kimo Morrison:

Hard to say?

Baki: EM trainer since he started boxing is his father, now that his training for March 19 fight his father was not with him (due to diabetes) to train him. If EM lost in this fight would it be another alibi for EM (like MAB) that he lost because his father was not with him or is it a sign that his father already knew that his son will be lost and don't wanna see his son being battered? I know if a great boxer lost in the fight with the rookies or not so popular boxer they are doing alibis or excuses to escape humiliation. I'm not biased of this but it's how I see it what do you think? More power to you!!!

Kimo Morrison:

This will not come to the forefront of the discussion after the fight I assure you. I have yet to find a fighter yet that doesn't want to come up with SOME excuse for losing ANY fight, but If EM loses this it will be by a vicious KO and there will be NO excuses.

Anfil Cinco: A chance for EM to win is to use his jab to back off the Pacman from his attack but if EM would fail to do this for sure he will kiss the canvass.God Bless Pacman!!!!

Kimo Morrison:

I disagree, but many see this the only way for him to win. Read other mail to see how I think he should fight in order to win.

ASS on d canvASS: hello kimo, theres one thing that havent talk about....it's Manny's ability to take a punch.....what can you say about that?...more power

Kimo Morrison:

Actually I have, whether or not you read them or whether or not my editor posted those particular answers I am not sure. I think Manny has a great chin, he can be wobbled, and because of his awkward punching nature is often caught off balance and looks like he is hurt but I think he can take as good as he gets in most cases. If he were to be hurt it would be late in the fight and after tremendous inside body work by EM. That of the likes in which Manny has never seen.

Junior: I read somewhere that EM said after the EM-MAB 3 fight that he thought he won. I watched that fight and he was close to being if not clobbered by MAB. Do you think he might be going into this fight with Pac with the same kind of messed up thoughts (that he still has it like before 'cuz I don't think he's like his effective self before) and might end up on the wrong end of the punch?

Kimo Morrison:

He very well could. And I as well thought he was clobbered, but it is weird how you view a fight while IN the fight and I am sure that after reviewing the fight tape, has to see that he lost that fight. But maybe not?

griflet paler: Question: do you think EM should fight the way JMM fought MP last may in order to have a chance? EM has an advantage in reach and height anyway

Kimo Morrison:

No, because JMM is a cool headed enough guy not to get drawn into a battle and in the same instance I believe that all it would take is for one solid punch on EM's nose and BAMMMMM! There goes his temper and the fight plan. He must stay in a position in which he is least likely to get hit hard with a flush punch and that is as close to Manny as possible. Sticking to him like glue.

rafael rambaud: Manny Pacquiao will knockout El Terrible in 3rd or fourth round. Manny's left straight will send Morales unconscious. Morales will be experiencing the "Greatest Horror of his Life ". But I think Morales reach has an slight advantage and add to the fact of his weight.

Manny is currently training his right fist. The shorter the fight the better. Manny's left is so destructive that in ROUND 4 or less the fight is over.

Kimo Morrison:

I hope that he is training both fist's as he will surely need both in a fight with Erik. If he is to come in with the same mentality you have, Pac will be the one getting knocked out. I am sure he is training for a long hard fought bout using both hands.

Majestician: I think Pacquiao is too over hyped. I mean he does deserve to be hyped up like this, hes an amazing fighter with exciting style, but from most people that I hear from, it sounds as though Morales is in the likes of 3k Battery whom Pacquiao fought last December. Erik is not a 3k Battery. He will put up a challenge and actually fight back. This fight comes down to this: who has power to KO the other guy, who can take the punches better, and who can rally in the last rounds if it come down to it. This won't be a boxing match, this will be a war and both of them are used to this type of match. As to my prediction, I predict that the Pacman can and will KO Erik in round 10. My question is: Who is your personal pick if the Pacman fought , Oscar Larios, Joan Guzman and Raf Marquez? Why?

Kimo Morrison:

Thank you for the VERY interesting question! I as well believe that too many people are looking at Erik to be washed up, no good, no chin, no heart, and no competition for Manny. This is so far from the truth. Manny will be tested like never before in this fight and if not at his best will lose this bout. I as well see it ending in the 10-11th round. To your most interesting question, I have posted who I think would win if he and Rafael Marquez fought and I think that Rafi would win this bout if fought at a good catch weight. I don?t think 130 suits him but if that fight ever happened I would see it at 122 and think that young Marquez is just too devastating with EVERY punch he throws. I LOVE THIS KID! Oscar Larios and Pac, would be another version of JMM and Pac fight and could go either way depending on whether or not Oscar could deal with the power early and weather the storm. Joan Guzman, at this level right now would lose to Pac in my eyes due mainly to conditioning as I was sitting ringside in his corner down in Phoenix for his bout in NOV. And saw that he relies too much on his power and wears quickly down the stretch. He is as well to slow handed to deal with Pac. Thank you for your question!

Paul legaspi: Could you tell me some of your thoughts about why barrera and marquez looked as if they dont want to get into the ring again w/ Pacman?? Everytime Pacman being interviewed by the media, he always mentioned he wanted a rematch against the "baby face assasin" and "el dinamita"... while these two great Mexican warriors never mentioned a rematch with pacman during their last fights in Las Vegas. Why??? It looks like EM is the fearless warrior of the 3 of them. Thanx... by the way, this website is COOL!!! Hardcoreboxing RULES!!!!

Kimo Morrison:

Maybe because both of the others have tasted the power that EM has yet to feel up against his head. He may feel different after the fight, and MAYBE for the first time EVER you will see EM not so anxious to have a rematch. We'll see after the bout I guess. By the way, I think that Barrera now has his confidence back and will see him calling out Pac for a rematch soon.

esjay: for sure morales will have his hands full of jabs for manny pacquiao to make manny thinks and off to his timing ...in your own opinion how can manny pacquiao overcome the left jab straight and a right upper of morales ? what should manny pacquiao do to penetrate the long reach of EM..more power and GodSpeed

Kimo Morrison:

Get under them and keep coming full speed ahead!
